Capital city team Beijing Guoan FC (0-1-1, 1 point) will be looking to earn its first win of the 2016 Chinese Super League season after lackluster performances in their first two games of the year. They are set to host defending champions Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao FC (2-1-0, 6 points) at the Workers Stadium on April 9th, Saturday.

Beijing Guoan is expected to be in for another tough match against the five straight CSL winners even if the game is scheduled to be played at their home field as Guangzhou is beginning to find their rhythm in the domestic competitions after losing its opener versus Chongqing Lifan last month.
The Imperial Guards have failed to deliver a win in their goalless opener against Tianjin Teda and then it was followed up by a sorry 0-1 defeat in the hands of newly-promoted squad Yanbian Funde at the Yanji Nationwide Fitness Centre Stadium last Saturday, via Soccerway.
Yanbian's South Korean striker Ha Tae-goon scored the lone goal of the contest at the 17th minute, which was not answered by head coach Alberto Zaccheroni's boys all throughout the match.
Beijing has been struggling in their offensive schemes starting the season as the team went goalless in its first two games.
Meanwhile, Guangzhou Evergrande blanked neighborhood rivals Guangzhou R&F, 2-0, at their home field of Tianhe Stadium on April 1st, Friday to win their second consecutive game of the season, as reported by Xinhuanet.
After the 1-2 defeat to Chongqing to begin the season, the Southern China Tigers pulled off two big wins as they romped Changchun Yatai, 3-0, before the derby against the Blue Lions in their most recent domestic game.
Imports Paulinho and Jackson Martinez provided the goals for Jose Felipe Scolari's side at the 30th and 80th minutes respectively en route to the dominating win.
The predicted result is a 3-0 romp for Guangzhou Evergrande as Beijing will still fail to find its offensive groove this season.
Beijing Guoan starting lineup (3-5-1-1 formation): Yang; Lei, Jin, Li; Song, Zhang X., Ralf, Piao, Zhang C.; Augusto; Kléber
Guangzhou Evergrande starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): Zeng; Zhang, Mei, Feng, Kim; Zheng, Paulinho; Huang, Goulart, Yu; Martinez
