With its succesful delivery of a cargo to the International Space Station (ISS) and the safe landing of Space X's Falcon 9 reusable rocket, the Elon Musk-lead company has moved humanity a step closer to acheiving the dream of affordable private space aviation.
After a series of failed attempts, Space X's fifth attempt was successful on April 8 after the reusable rocket propelled NASA's cargo capsule towards the ISS and made a safe landing in the Pacific atop a drone ship.

This marks a very important milestone in the history of space aviation since reusable launch vehicles are expected to revolutionise space travel in many ways such as bringing down costs and saving time.
In addition to the specifications of the rocket, the cargo itself is quite interesting. Built by Bigelow Aerospace, the inflatable room that will be attached to the international space station, will become the first such habitat for humans orbiting in space.
According to the BBC, the expandable habitat, which weighs 1400 Kgs and is covered by layers of heat and radiation resistant fabric, will be visited by the space station crew over the next month to perform checks.
Meanwhile, Space X has announced plans to send larger habitats into space in the near future and thus pave the way for private space aviation that is dependable and low cost with the help of its reusable rockets.
