'Yes We Tan': President Obama Mocked For Choice of Taupe Suit

President Barack Obama

(Photo : REUTERS/Larry Downing) President Barack Obama addresses the ISIS issue but did not explain further what the next moves will be during his White House Address in the James Brady Press Briefing Room of the White House.

As the president of the United States addressed the growing situation both in Ukraine and the Middle East during the White House Address on Thursday, people seemed less concerned about global issues and more concerned about Obama's choice of fashion, making the U.S. president's taupe suit the center of a Twitter storm of comments.

On Thursday, the president talked about ISIS, Iraq, Syria, Russia, and Ukraine. He took questions from the media during the briefing, but viewers from around the country were much more focused on the color of his suit.

The courageous fashion choice of President Obama has urged viewers to voice their comments as well as their mockery in regards to his choice of clothing. Some called it less than fashionable as the president generally sports darker suits when tackling important issues.

Only moments after President Obama began his address, Twitter started going crazy with people leaving comments such as:

robot repairman @DashTreyhorn: "If Obama is catching hell for wearing a tan suit now, then God help him when he wears white after Labor Day."

Brad Dayspring @BDayspring: "Not a fan of the tan suit? RT @WesleyLowery: Who gave President Obama that old church suit from my dad's closet?"

Brian Riemce_markernbsp;@moneyries: "Obama: Something something tan suit something tan tan tan something suit."

Andrew Kaczynski  @BuzzFeedAndrew: "Really not liking this Obama tan suit. Sends the wrong signals to our allies."

Reportedly, due to President Obama's choice of suit, an excerpt from his interview with Vanity Fair has been pulled.

In the interview, he said that he only wears blue or gray suits because he does not want to make decisions on what to wear. The commander-in-chief added that there are more important decisions he should be making.

However, others came to the President's rescue by pointing out that this is not the first time he has worn this type of suit.

One Twitter user tweeted a photo of the President together with the First Lady which was taken during Easter 2014 where he is also shown wearing a taupe suit.

Another Twitter user said that former president George Washington also wore a taupe suit.

Others just made it a laughing matter as they tried to insert the words "tan" and "taupe" into the President's best-selling books. Wordplays ranged from "Taupe and change", "The audacity of taupe", and "Yes, we tan".

Meanwhile the President addressed the ISIS situation saying that the U.S. is not ready to dramatically escalate its participation in the conflict in Syria.
