Three of the biggest names in media have been accused of startling allegations by Sheila Weller in her new book 'The News Sorority'. The book reveals that the journalists have been in their low points as they competed for news coverages in the early stages of their careers.
The three names dragged in the book are Diane Sawyer, Katie Couric and Christiane Amanpour. To the women involved, some excerpts from the book have been revealed and the exposes aren't at all pretty.

One of the most shocking revelations is that of Couric Accusing Sawyer. Weller writes: "When Diane beat Katie on an interview with a 57-year-old woman who'd given birth to twins. Katie mused aloud, according to a person who heard the comment: 'I wonder who she blew this time.'"
Both women have been labeled as "serious journalists" but with this revelation, people might be looking at them in a much different light.
Sawyer just resigned from her post as the anchor for ABC's World News this week and is focusing on 'Good Morning America'. As for Couric, she was fired back in 2011 from the CBS Evening News but is now the face of 'Today'. The two started battling out each other back in 2000.
Another revelation was from an ABC News staffer who revealed that Barbara Walters and Sawyer did not really see eye-to-eye. Both women vowed to kill each other so as to grab more ratings than the other.
Aside from the ugly truth that these women went through to get to where they are now, there are positive things written in the book. Another excerpt has been released on the internet and according to Weller, "As reporters and communicators of that which was beyond their control - the news of the world - and as women in a tremendously competitive professional arena in which their gender was an impediment, their ability to strongly control what they could control has been central to their success. Each has been self-aware and self-powering in a different way, and their careers offer lessons in female survival."
The date for the release of the soon-to-be bestseller has not been announced yet.
