Following his back surgery, ace golfer Tiger Woods announced that he could still not play in the first major golf event this year because he has not yet fully recovered.

Since the Wyndham Championship in August last year, the 40-year-old professional golfer has not been playing. And while it was reported that he would finally resume this year, it was learned that it would not actually be during the Masters tournament yet.

"I'm absolutely making progress, and I'm really happy with how far I've come, but I still have no timetable to return to competitive golf," the four-time Masters champion wrote on his website, according to UPI.

Meanwhile, Jack Nicklaus agreed with Tiger Woods when he said that he could break Sam Snead's record of 82 in the PGA Tour's former category, and Nicklaus' 18 in the latter.

"Tiger and I both won young, and he may span 25 years (in his career) himself," Nicklaus said about the California-born multi-awarded golfer who made 79 PGA Tour victories. "I don't think he's done. I think Tiger's going to win more tournaments."

In the meantime, Golf Digest reported that the well-decorated golfer starred in the British series "Chronicles of a Champion Golfer" in its premiere episode on Tuesday night on Sky Sports.

The documentary talked about Tiger Woods' "relationship with the Open Championship."

Commissioned by the R&A, the story of his life did not only evolve around his achievements in the British Open but also about winning the career Grand Slam, his experience after the death of his father especially when he was still at Royal Liverpool, and his thoughts on his future at the tournament.

Tiger Woods, despite not being able to attend this year's first big golf event, is expected to show off his expertise once again anytime soon.
