Chinese tech giant Coolpad has started rolling out an update for a beta version of Android Marshmallow for both Coolpad Note 3 and Note 3 Lite smartphones. The Android beta update is available for download on the company's official forum.

During the launch of the Android M update, a Coolpad spokesperson revealed that the company is now looking forward to getting valuable feedback from different developers after testing it on their respective devices. The company noted that the participation of several developers will help them enhance the performance of the beta update.

The Coolpad Note 3 smartphone was released in December 2015 at Rs 8999 ($135.06) and its little brother called the Note 3 Lite is priced at Rs 6999 ($105.116). Both smartphones are now exclusively available on Amazon India.

In terms of the specification of the Coolpad Note 3 smartphone, the device features a 5.5-inch HD IPS display and supports dual-SIM 4G connectivity. The device is powered by 3 GB of RAM and comes with a built-in 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 64 GB. With regard to the camera, the handset features a 13-megapixel primary camera with LED flash supported coupled with a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. The smartphone is fueled by a 3000 mAh capacity battery, which is capable of delivering a standby time of 400 hours.

Moreover, the Coolpad Note 3 Lite smartphone features a 5-inch IPS HD display screen and comes with a trimmed 2500 mAh capacity battery.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow Beta update for Coolpad Note 3 and Note Lite 3 can now be downloaded for free.
