Apple has confirmed it'll host an event at its headquarters in Cupertino, California on September 9.
The event is expected to see the long heralded unveiling of the iPhone 6 and the new iWatch, the company's first wearable device.
The event will take place at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time at the Flint Center for the Performing Arts in Cupertino.

On Thursday, Apple, Inc. sent out invitations to members of the media indicating the date and place and a message that we "... wish we could tell you more."
Most of the time, Apple drops hints on its event invites as to what'll happen in the show but not this time around. There's also a rumor saying there'll be more than one event to be held this year by Apple.
It's almost guaranteed that Apple will release the standard 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and the larger 5.5-inch iPhone 6L phablet.
The new devices will run the final public release of iOS 8. They'll also feature HomeKit and HealthKit.
HomeKit controls everything inside your house via one device. HealthKit is a fitness tracking hub that imports data from third party wearables and shares it.
There's a possibility that iPad Air and iPad Mini with a Retina Display will be shown at the event.
Apple fans can check information in two weeks' time to find out exactly what the company has been working on.
