(Photo : Reuters) Hello Kitty fans are surely thrilled after Shanghai welcomes China's first official Hello Kitty restaurant.
China's first Hello Kitty restaurant is now open for business in Nanjing Road in Shanghai and ready to offer a whole lot of delectable cat-shaped treats and Hello Kitty-branded refreshments.
Guests of the fancy two-floor restaurant called Bistro Bianco Hello Kitty will be welcomed by a gigantic model of the famous cartoon where fans can strike a selfie. Its ground floor, stock up with cute paraphernalia and gift items, serves as a reception area as guests wait to be seated while the second floor is the dining area.

The entire restaurant is completely surrounded with images, statues, and carvings of the famed cat and comes with a red and white theme.
Most of its food and drinks, from hamburgers and cakes to steaks, cookies and macarons, are served in Hello Kitty shapes, which are apparently way too cute to be eaten according to customers.
"They're very cute ... I think the taste of the food is OK, but when you eat it, it's difficult to kill the thing because it really is too cute," Liu Jiaqi, a customer, said.
The menu will also feature attention-grabbing selections such as apple pizza, ice-cream castles and "sakura love" potato soups. A rosé wine from France is also reportedly served under the Hello Kitty label.
Executive Manager Ken Yumi revealed that the café's ultimate target was to emphasize "cuteness," explaining "This is what we're aiming for customers, cuteness - when they see the cute nature of Hello Kitty, the will feel good."
Staff working at the café also wear special Hello Kitty uniforms. Restaurant hours run between 11AM and 10PM on weekdays and cater up to 80 customers at a time.
Being the first official Hello Kitty-themed restaurant to open in the mainland, Yuko Yamaguchi, Hello Kitty's current artist, personally designed and approved the Shanghai branch.
Hello Kitty Bistro Bianco comes following the opening of Hong Kong's official Hello Kitty restaurant in 2015 and Hello Kitty theme park in Zhejiang province. The restaurant has since opened in late January but is still currently on trial period.
