Middling club Chongqing Lifan FC (1-1-2, 5 points) will look to snap its three-game winless skid as it faces cellar-dwelling squad Changchun Yatai FC (0-3-1, 1 point) at the Chongqing Olympic Sports Center on Sunday, April 17th as the 2016 Chinese Super League moves forward.

Chongqing Lifan has not won a game since its stunning 2-1 win over reigning five straight champions Guangzhou Evergrande during the team's season opener at their home stadium last month. Manager Chang Woe-ryong's boys next dropped a 0-1 decision to Henan Jianye before two straight draws versus Shanghai SIPG and Shijiazhuang Ever Bright in their third and fourth games.

With that, they now settle at the ninth spot of the current league table, tied on points with three other squads namely, SIPG, Tianjin Teda, and Yanbian Funde.

Their last game was a 1-1 draw with Shijiazhuang last Saturday at the Yutong International Sports Center, as per Soccerway.

Ever Bright's Brazilian forward Diego Mauricio scored the opening goal of the contest at the 36th minute before Chongqing's Argentine striker Emanuel Gigliotti leveled the count at the 43rd off an assist by fellow striker, Brazilian Fernandinho.

Meanwhile, Changchun Yatai remains as one of only two clubs, Beijing Guoan the other, who are still without a win this season.

Manager Slaviša Stojanovič's team opened its season with two straight losses, to Hangzhou Greentown and Guangzhou Evergrande, before settling for a 1-1 draw with SIPG in their third game.

Changchun is coming off a 0-1 loss to newly-promoted squad Hebei China Fortune last Sunday at their home ground of Development Area Stadium, via Sofa Score.

Hebei midfielder Luo Senwen provided the lone goal for the visitors during the game as they sent Yatai to its third loss in four games in the young China top flight season.

The predicted result is a 1-0 win for Chongqing Lifan in a battle of two struggling teams.
