People who use ride-hailing apps in getting a car to go somewhere, beware! A certain car-hailing app driver has been criticized for disrespectfully putting up photos of his passengers on the internet, according to news reports.
The car-hailing app driver reportedly takes photos of his female passengers and puts them up in a social media group for many of his friends to chat about, reports the Qianjiang Evening News. These unsuspecting lady passengers that their photos were taken while they were riding inside the car, and thus the fact that the driver puts them up online is also unknown to them.

The photographs, featuring the female passengers sitting in the passenger seat of the car, were shared in a WeChat group that was set up by drivers of car-hailing apps such as Didi Chuxing and Uber. WeChat is the most popular instant messaging app in China, and because the photos were put up in it, many can access the photos.
Comments from the WeChat group members revolved around how the passengers dressed up and how they looked like. Some even gave disrespectful comments about the unsuspecting passengers. One commenter from the internet, however, described the driver responsible for sharing the photo as ‘horrible.’
The drivers that were part of the social media group were from Yuyao in Zheijang province, notes the report. The driver specified in the article, who was responsible for sharing the passenger photos, is believed to be a driver for Didi Chuxing Express Service. Althought Didi Chuxing charges fees cheaper than others, many say that their drivers are ‘less professional.’
A spokesman for Didi Chuxing said that they haven’t received any complaint nor reports about the said case, reports say. However, should the company prove that the driver is guilty, some kind of punishment will certainly be rendered.
