Prince was rushed to the ER in an ambulance after making an unexpected landing at the Quad City International Airport in Moline hours after performing at Atlanta's Fox Theatre on Thursday night.

The Purple Rain singer received treatment at the hospital before being released three hours later. Prince has been suffering from the flu over the past few weeks and even cancelled two of his shows in Atlanta because of his ill health.
His rep revealed that the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer wanted to go through with Thursday's Atlanta concert in spite of feeling unwell but his health worsened on the flight back home after the gig, forcing them to make an emergency landing. The rep added that Prince is recovering back home in Chanhassen, Minnesota.
Prince might be on the mend but that did not stop him from taking to Twitter to make a reference to his song Controversy, which starts with the line "I just can't believe all the things people say." He ended the post with two smiley faces.
Prince, 57, is currently on his Piano and a Microphone tour and his show on Thursday was attended by the likes of Judith Hill and Janelle Monáe. Both singers expressed their thoughts on the show on social media.
"Prince. In Atlanta. At the FOX Theatre. With just a piano. Greatest ever. RE inspired all over again," Monáe wrote on Twitter.
"Had a blast seeing @prince perform in Atlanta last night at the Fox theater! Insanely inspiring show!!!," tweeted Hill.
