Kim Kardashian and Kourney Kardashian, who are currently vacationing in Iceland to celebrate the latter's birthday, were in for a scare in the air after their helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing.

Kim and Kourtney, who who turned 37 on Monday, were accompanied by Kim's husband Kanye West and close family friend Jonathan Cheban on a helicopter ride, overlooking the scenic views of the Nordic country but shortly after taking off, the chopper was forced to land unexpectedly on a golf course because of a rattling noise.

Kim, 35, documented the entire ordeal in a series of Snapchat videos with her beloved sister. The mother-of-two says in the video that they were making an emergency landing while Kourtney told passengers to "stay calm" in a following post.

In another video, Kim revealed that the helicopter was forced to make the unexpected landing because of a seatbelt. "We found the problem! A seatbelt was hanging out that was making a rattling noise," she said.

"Emergency landing but w'ere ok!" added Kourtney.

The group has been in the Icelandic capital of Reyjavik since April 15 and the Kardashian sisters have been posting a series of pictures and videos of their trip on social media since.

On Monday, Kim shared a throwback photo of herself and Kourtney to wish her a happy birthday. "Happy Birthday @kourtneykardash," Kim captioned a childhood throwback photo of herself and Kourtney wearing matching dresses and ponytails. "Thank you for always doing everything first so I can copy you! I don't know what I would do without you! I love you! Happy Birthday!"
