"NCIS" season 13 finale holds much more significance considering that it's going to be Michael Weatherly's final episode as Tony DiNozzo. Will Ziva David make an appearance one last time, for old time's sake?

Showrunner Gary Glassberg told TVLine that they really went all out for the "NCIS" season 13 finale.

"We're really trying to give everybody something that leaves them satisfied," he said, adding that writing about Weatherly's exit is "a huge deal" which needed "lots of planning."

The "NCIS" season 13 finale synopsis reads, "NCIS, FBI and MI6 continue an international manhunt for an escaped British spy who is targeting current and former agents."

Sarah Clarke will play an FBI agent while Duane Henry will play an MI-6 agent who will help the NCIS track down the deadly foe.

What fans really want, however, is if Ziva David will return and reunite with DiNozzo just to wrap up that storyline.

The "NCIS" season 13 finale synopsis even triggered some speculation about Ziva David being part of the "former agents" part being targeted by the spook.

"DiNozzo would take up a new job and reunite with Ziva (who is currently in Israel) to make his life more meaningful! The finale episode is ambiguously titled, Family First," IB Times said. "Fans of the series want Ziva David's (Cote de Pablo) to return for the finale episode, there is no confirmation as yet on whether Pablo would return on the show."

Cote de Pablo has already said that she would be back if the story calls for it, but so far there were no leaked images of the actress filming scenes for "NCIS" season 13 finale.
