Middling teams Hangzhou Greentown FC (2-3-0, 6 points) and Chongqing Lifan FC (1-1-3, 6 points) will battle it out in a 2016 Chinese Super League match scheduled at the Yellow Dragon Sports Center on Friday, April 22nd as the new season continues.

Hangzhou is currently at the 10th spot of the league table, tied on points with Chongqing along with two other clubs, Tianjin Teda and Shanghai Greenland Shenhua, but has a more inferior goal differential compared to the rest.

The Green Giants are slightly on a skid right now as they succumbed to their second consecutive loss. The team was demolished by capital city squad Beijing Guoan FC, 0-3, in their most recent game in the Chinese top flight last Sunday also at their home field of Yellow Dragon Sports Center, as reported by Goal.

Beijing newcomer Burak Yilmaz of Turkey scored the Imperial Guards maiden goal not only in the match but in the season as well three minutes after the hour mark of the said contest.

Zhang Xizhe and Brazilian import Renato Augusto netted the other two goals of Guoan at the 64th and 78th minutes to hand manager Hong Myung-bo's side their third loss of the season.

Meanwhile, Chongqing Lifan settled for a 1-1 draw with cellar dwellers Changchun Yatai at the Chongqing Olympic Sports Center also last Sunday, as per Soccerway.

Chongqing's Argentine striker Emanuel Gigliotti drew first blood for head coach Chang Woe-ryong's side during the game at the 12th minute, but Changchun was able to equalize the game immediately at the 29th with the fourth goal in three appearances by Bolivian forward Marcelo Moreno.

It was the third straight drawn match for the hosts as they now head to Hangzhou for this matchday six encounter.

The predicted result is a close 1-0 win for Chongqing Lifan.
