Xbox One Backwards Compatible Games: 'Call of Duty' Still a Popular Request; BC Feature ‘Won’t Last’?

"Call of Duty" continues to be the top requested title that must be included in the Xbox One backwards compatibility (BC) games list. However, amid this particular feature's undeniable popularity, one report claimed that it may not stay long.
According to Express UK, fans have been consistent in asking for any updates relative to the inclusion of "Call of Duty" in the updated list of BC-supported games.

While "Call of Duty: Black Ops" has already been reported as one of the only COD games that is definitely coming for the Xbox 360 collection, there have no confirmations yet for the other "Call of Duty" titles, the "Modern Warfare" and "Modern Warfare 2."
It was theorized, though, that the last two titles would only become part of the Xbox One backwards compatible games list once "Infinity Ward" has already been released by November this year.
Meanwhile, it was revealed that six of the top 10 highly-requested games for the Microsoft's gaming console's BC list are "Call of Duty" titles, to wit: "Call of Duty: Black Ops II," "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2," "Call of Duty: Black Ops," "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare," "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3" and "Call of Duty: World at War."
In the meantime, amid this popularity, former Director of Strategic Content for PlayStation Shahid Kamal Ahmad reportedly claimed that the Xbox One backwards compatibility feature, Daily Star UK reported.
"I've seen a lot of things come and go," he said. "I'm not a great believer in backwards compatibility."
Ahmad continued by saying, "I think that each device should have its own repertoire, its own 'vibe.' As for whether publishers should charge for it or not, well that's really a matter for them."
