World Boxing Organization reigning International flyweight champion Zou Shiming of China will be making his United States debut fight on June 11 as one of the undercards of the upcoming Rocky Martinez-Vasyl Lomachenko junior lightweight title bout at the Madison Square Garden in New York, Top Rank chief executive Bob Arum told ESPN.

Zou (7-1, 2 KO's), a three-time Olympic medalist (gold in 2012 and 2008 and bronze in 2004), is considered to be the fighter who paved the way for big-time professional boxing in China. He has staged all of his previous fights in his country.

Zou has fought seven times in Macau. He had his most recent bout in Shanghai on January 30, where he stopped the undefeated Brazilian Natan Santana Coutinho in an eighth round technical knockout.

The Chinese boxing sensation, who won three gold medals at the World Amateur Boxing Championships in the year 2005, 2007 and 2011, suffered the first loss of his professional boxing career against Amnat Ruenroeng of Thailand in a world title fight for the vacant IBF flyweight crown. He momentarily took an eight-month break from boxing after his defeat.

According to Arum, Zou's opponent is still to be determined and his fight will not be part of the HBO telecast in the U.S. but it will be aired in China and broadcasted around the rest of the globe.

The veteran boxing promoter also revealed that it is being paid for by SECA, Top Rank's partner. Arum said that SECA, a Chinese sports management and marketing firm, wanted Zou to fight in the United States.

Arum said a news conference is scheduled for April 28 at Madison Square Garden to formally announce the card, which will also include the Puerto Rican lightweight Felix Verdejo.
