As the world mourns the passing of iconic singer Prince, tributes to the late star are pouring in, from Google to the re-emergence of a Chappelle's Show clip.
Most homages to the Minneapolis superstar reference his music career. Google has updated their search page with a purple rain doodle. The simple purple lettering with its animated rainfall is a poignant reference to Prince's 1984 album Purple Rain, which was certified gold and won an Oscar for its use as a film score.

Digital radio provider SiriusXM is honoring Prince in their own way, creating a channel that is dedicated to remembering the legendary singer. "To honor his legacy and his incredible body of work, SiriusXM will create a special channel that will be devoted to his artistic genius," said the company's President Scott Greenstein.
The channel will be available until April 29.
Corey Taylor, singer for the rock bands Slipknot and Stone Sour, responded to the tragedy by playing a cover of Prince's single 'Purple Rain.' Taylor happened to be playing a solo concert in Minneapolis on the day the singer died, and he opened his act with the tribute.
Another tribute to Prince is a comedy sketch that was recorded in 2004. Comedian Dave Chappelle aired a fictional chronicling of a basketball game between Eddie Murphy's brother Charlie, and Prince.
Prince later said the bit was actually based on a true story, and even used a picture of Chappelle in costume as the singer as the cover art for his 2013 single 'Breakfast Can Wait.'
Besides being comedic gold, with famous one-liners such as "Game. Blouses," and "Why don't you purify yourself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka?," the segment also pointed to the fact that Prince was a "talented" basketball player, according to one of his high school coaches.
Prince will not be forgotten any time soon, as he lives on through his award-winning catalogue of music.
