Last season's seventh-placed team Shijiazhuang Ever Bright FC (1-2-2, 5 points) will try to halt a three-game winless spell when they play against perennial contenders Shandong Luneng Taishan FC (2-2-1, 7 points) at the Yutong International Sports Center on Sunday, April 24th as the 2016 Chinese Super League continues.

Shijiazhuang Ever Bright has not been able to find a victory in their last three games after snagging their first win of the season versus Hangzhou Greentown last month. They were defeated by Shanghai Shenhua and had a drawn game with Chongqing Lifan in the next two after that.

In their most recent match, manager Yasen Petrov's boys again settled for a 1-1 draw, this time with newly-promoted side Hebei China Fortune FC at the Qinhuangdao Olympic Sports Center Stadium last Sunday, as per Soccerway.

Hebei forward Dong Xuesheng netted the first goal of the contest at the 34th minute off an assist by Argentine import Ezequiel Lavezzi to pressure the visitors.

However, Shijiazhuang midfielder Feng Shaoshun responded with the equalizer at the stroke of halftime from a cross by teammate Mi Haolun, which ended up as the final score as both teams were unable to score the rest of the way.

Meanwhile, Shandong Luneng gained its second win of the season by crushing the other newly-promoted team, Yanbian Funde FC, 3-1, at their home field of Jinan Olympic Sports Center Stadium on April 15th, via Sofa Score.

Brazilian striker Aloisio opened the scoring at the 16th minute to give head coach Mano Menezes' boys the early in the contest.

South Korean midfielder Yoon Bit-garam knotted the count three minutes into the second half to give last season's Chine League One winners the hope of an upset, but an own goal from teammate Jiang Hongquan at the 75th minute gave back the lead to Taishan Dui.

Local winger Liu Binbin sealed the win three minutes later with a goal from an assist by Brazilian forward Diego Tardelli.

The predicted result is a tough 2-1 win for Shandong Luneng.
