Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi will reportedly make her Hollywood debut with the upcoming sequel to 'The Mummy' franchise.

Qureshi recently auditioned for a role in 'The Mummy' Reboot. The third installment of 'The Mummy' franchise features Tom Cruise and Sophia Boutella in key roles.

"Huma has recently auditioned for the third part of the successful franchise starring Hollywood star Tom Cruise and Sofia Boutella playing the lead antagonist," the 'Gangs of Wasseypur' actress said in a statement issued by her representative.

Qureshi will be third leading actress from Indian film industry to make her Hollywood debut in recent times. Two other leading Bollywood actresses Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra are making their Hollywood debuts with Vin Diesel's 'xXx - Return of Xander Cage' and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's 'Baywatch' respectively.

The 29-year-old actress said in a recent interview that Indian actors are afraid to go and work abroad because people are very professional over there.

"In India, we have become very lazy. Everything happens slowly, and as per God's will. A 9 am call time means we start working at whatever time we wish," she said. "Earlier, we were never given the main role. We were always the sidekicks."

Qureshi can be seen soon in a Hindi remake of Hollywood movie 'Oculus' and Gurinder Chadha's 'Viceroy House.' She will also feature in a Malayalam movie 'White' opposite South Indian megastar Mammootty. The movie marks Huma's debut in Malayalam film industry. Check out the trailer of the movie here.
