Kobe Bryant's farewell tour season is culminating with an announcement by EA that he is going to be gracing the cover of 'NBA 2K17' Legend Edition. Video game fans will receive a lot of freebies when they pre-order the game.

The 'NBA 2K17' Legend Edition will cost around $80, and gamers who purchase it will get a limited-edition poster of Kobe Bryant as well as two Panini trading cards and a Black Mamba controller skin.

Gamers will also receive 30,000 Virtual Currency which they can use to personalize their players, a MyTEAM Bundle, a Kobe #8 jersey and a Kobe Bryant hoodie.

Kobe Bryant has said feels humbled for gracing the cover of the 'NBA 2K17' Legend Edition. He said that it 0s a good way for him to still connect with the fans even as after walking away from the game after 18 seasons.

Despite his illustrious career, Kobe Bryant only graced the cover of the 'NBA 2K' franchise. That was in 2010 when he was still at the peak of his skills, and was the league's undisputed Alpha Dog.

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times back then, he praised the developer for capturing his mannerisms and movements on the floor. Bryant also complimented the attention to detail in the game. Of course, technology has changed so much since then, so fans will get an extra treat playing the 'NBA 2K17' Legend Edition featuring the Black Mamba.

The 'NBA 2K17' Legend Edition featuring the Black Mamba, Kobe Bryant, is set to be released in September this year on Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The PC version, meanwhile, will released in September.
