Perennial contenders Shanghai SIPG FC (3-1-2, 11 points) is set to face last season's China League One champions Yanbian Funde FC (1-3-2, 5 points) at the Shanghai Stadium on Friday, April 29th as the 2016 Chinese Super League season moves forward.

After losing their opening game of the season to Henan Jianye back in March, Shanghai SIPG had been undefeated in their last five matches and are currently on a three-game winning streak to climb up to the no. 3 spot in the current league table.

Their most recent fixture resulted in 3-1 trouncing of cellar-dwelling side Changchun Yatai FC on the road at the Development Area Stadium, as reported by Ghana Soccernet.

Shanghai imports Elkeson, Dario Conca, and Asamoah Gyan each scored a goal in the said contest, at the sixth, 59th, and 72nd minutes respectively, to give head coach Sven-Göran Eriksson's squad their third consecutive victory following two straight drawn matches.

Gyan, who substituted for local winger Lu Wenjun at the 43rd as he came back from a recurring injury, expressed his joy in social media after the match, saying "Great win... massive team effort... great to score again... God is the reason".

Meanwhile, Yanbian Funde suffered its second straight loss with a 1-2 defeat to Henan Jianye at their home field of Yanji Nationwide Fitness Centre Stadium last Saturday, via Soccerway.

Henan imports Eddi Gomes of Denmark and Javier Patiño of the Philippines netted the game's first two goals at the 13th and 68th minutes respectively before Yanbian midfielder Cui Ren was able to strike a consolation goal at the 77th to put his team on the board.

It was the third straight winless performance for head coach Park Tae-ha's side as they dropped to the 14th spot in the current league table.

The predicted result is another 3-1 decision for Shanghai SIPG.
