The Charlotte Hornets will have a chance to win their first playoff series in 14 years when they host the visiting Miami Heat on Friday night at the Time Warner Cable Arena for the sixth game of their Eastern Conference First Round best-of-seven playoff series.
"We definitely have a chip on our shoulder," Hornets' starting guard Kemba Walker, who is averaging 22.6 points and shooting 96.3 percent from the foul line in the playoffs, said. "It doesn't get talked about the things that we do. We have a huge chip on our shoulder."

The Hornets are currently leading the course of their postseason matchup with a commanding 3-2 lead and are just a win away from closing the deal and advancing to the semifinal round of the Eastern Conference against either Toronto Raptors or Indiana Pacers (Raptors lead series 3-2).
The Hornets are shooting 40.7 percent in the series but have had the edge defensively. Miami averaged 119.0 points and shot 57.8 percent in the first two encounters before putting up 84.3 per game on 38.6 percent since.
The three-time NBA champions Heat are now on the threshold of being eliminated, but Miami cannot be counted out yet. They finished the regular season as the third-best team in the East, and Miami is 8-7 when facing elimination.
"Nobody said this was going to be easy," Miami Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra said. "Nobody's giving out free tickets to the second round. You do have to earn it. You do have to go through situations together. It's our first real test when our backs are against the wall."
Courtney Lee, who hit the winning basket in Game 5, will be again tasked with providing more scoring to support Walker's performance while Jeremy Lin, Marvin Williams and Al Jefferson will be expected to provide firepower for the team.
Dwyane Wade and the rest of the Heat starters are expected to be aggressive as they desire to take the series back to Miami on May 1st.
