Cecilia Cheung's Father: Broken Leg Over Unpaid Debts

Reportedly, Cecilia Cheung has broken off ties with her father for good. Cecilia and her sons moved to Singapore, leaving behind her father in a village in Tai Wai.
It also seems that her father, Cheung Yan Yung, who was once a well-known figure in Hong Kong due to his affiliations with the triad, has sustained injuries for his inability to pay his debts.

Last August 20, photographers spotted the elderly Cheung and a pal at a nearby dim sum restaurant for lunch. Cheung was walking with a limp.
Upon seeing the paparazzi, Cheung's friend shouted angrily,"Do not take photos!"
Allegedly, mobsters had beaten up Cecilia's father for failing to pay his debts. He also moved to Tai Wai to avoid debt collectors.
Cheung told the paparazzi that he was okay despite the injury, saying that he moved to the village "Just [as] a change. I'm living by myself now, but I have [my friend] to take care of me."
Cheung Yan Yung has lost his old reputation after falling into debt, time and time again. Cecilia said that she is no longer interested in helping him out anymore.
As Cecilia rose to fame, she has had to bail out her father several times in the past.
Just last year, Cheung Yan Yung was in the papers again after he conned 2 million RMB from a mainland China business.
Despite her father being the subject of many news features and, having his photo plastered all over Hong Kong's major districts, Central and Wan Chai, the actress refused to comment about him and his issues. She instead said that she would rather focus on taking care of her sons, Lucas and Quintus.
Cecilia Cheung Pak-Chi is the ex-wife of Nicholas Tse, who is also the father of her two sons.
Considered a "Sing girl", the actress first received media attention when she starred onscreen with Stephen Chow.
