Kai Ko Thought of Leaving the Industry While on Detention

After being involved in the Jaycee Chan drug bust and being detained for 14 days at a facility in Beijing, Kai Ko has revealed that he has thought of quitting show business after while he was under detention.
Kai Ko was released last August 29 from being detained for marijuana use and has then held a press conference the same day. During the event, the 23-year old actor has profusely apologized for his misconduct and has promised to change for the better.

Kai Ko has previously stated that he will be concentrating on making his path straight again and also thanked the people who stood by him throughout his ordeal.
The actor has also shared his feelings while in detention, saying that he felt at a loss and even contemplated to quit show business upon his release from detention.
According to his manager, his first words after he was released were, "What do I do now? I cannot work for the company anymore."
Angie Chai, his manager, said that she felt heartbroken that Kai Ko would think that way about his situation. There had been many reports regarding the Chinese media banning the actor an also 10 of his 11 endorsements pulling out their contracts with him subsequent to his arrest.
Kai Ko was asked how he had been inside the detention facility. The young actor said that he was not able to sleep soundly while being detained. He shared his experience about staying in the same room with eight other people and having to wake up at 6 AM in order to attend lessons.
He also added that he didn't get any special treatment during his stay there since the people whom he was sharing the chamber with didn't know who he was.
According to reports, the Chinese media is said to have decided to ban Kai Ko from making appearances for two years, however his manager stated that the decision isn't clear yet and that they have not received a ruling date.
