Kid Cudi scared his fans at the North Coast Music Festival in Chicago last August 30 by passing out while performing during his hour-long headlining set.
A video footage filmed by an audience member at the concert showed Cudi collapsing while singing his hit single "Pursuit of Happiness", as reported by Consequence of Sound.

The rapper, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, had been high-fiving his fans at the front of the show and signing several autographs before losing consciousness. Looking into the video, Cudi began to fall backwards at the one-minute mark after running back and forth in the photo pit.
Security guards were able to catch the 30-year-old artist before he fell to the ground, quickly grouping together to take Cudi out of the show's pit.
The incident led to confusion among fans who had been present in Cudi's North Coast performance. The rapper cleared things up by taking to social media and assuring fans that he was doing alright.
"I'm ok!! Blessed to have fans who actually give a fuck about me," Cudi wrote on Twitter.
He also took the time to apologize for the incident and give thanks for the assistance of the security guards.
"Mad love to the security who were there and helped me out tonight. Really awesome dudes!," Cudi tweeted. "Thanx for nursing me back to health ha. Ill do a better and make sure to eat properly on show days :) scouts honor! I love you Chicago. Don't you forget that s***. Ever. If I scared anyone tonight I am so so sorry from the bottom of my heart."
Cudi's next gig will be on September 27 as he is slotted to perform at Outkast's ATLast Festival in Atlanta, giving the rapper ample time to feel better. The Cleveland-born artist had been spending much of the year on the road to promote his latest album "Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon."
