'Scandal' Season 6 may be delayed due to Kerry Washington's pregnancy. The actress, who plays the lead role Olivia Pope in the series, is expecting baby number two with husband Nnamdi Asomugha.
TV Line revealed that one of the options ABC is looking at is to delay the show's return until midseason. The network is set to announce their fall schedule within two weeks.

According to E! News, two sources have confirmed Washington's pregnancy. Her baby bump was on full view when she graced the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner this past weekend.
This is the second time that the actress has fallen pregnant while casting for the show. During the shooting of Season 3 of 'Scandal,' the network had to cut down its episodes to 18 from the original 22 due to Washington's pregnancy.
Washington's baby bump was not part of the storyline. Therefore, the directors had to come up with creative ways to cover up her baby bump.
For Kerry Washington's current pregnancy, there is now word yet if 'Scandal' Season 6 would finally see Olivia Pope get pregnant.
The actress and her husband are parents to daughter Isabelle, who they have raised in private.
During her first interviews after becoming a mom, Washington said that she felt "really, really blessed." "I just feel really blessed that I'm kind of living extraordinary dreams come true in my work life and in my personal life," she said.
