Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray won their respective matches to set up a quarterfinals clash at the U.S. Open in Flushing Meadows New York on Sunday.
On a scorching hot afternoon, World No. 1 Djokovic got off to a quick start as he dismantled veteran Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-1 but the heat seemed to have affected the Serb as the German served for the set at 5-4.

The seven-time Grand Slam champion rallied the crowd to save the set and eventually went out to win the match, 6-1, 7-5, 6-4, in just over two hours.
"If you won that point, won the second set, it's pretty even," Djokovic said. "So it's a big point and tried to get the crowd engaged."
The 27-year-old Djokovic will now face Murray in the quarters who defeated Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in another three-set match.
Britain's No. 1 went head-to-head in the first two sets against the Rogers Cup champion but Tsonga got the bitter end of the deal as he committed a total of 43 unforced errors compared to the 18 of Murray.
Murray, 27, found another opportunity in the third set to break the 29-year-old Tsonga and also took advantage of the error prone Frenchman to enter the quarters in a two and a half hour matchup.
Murray expresses enthusiasm on his matchup against Djokovic scheduled on Wednesday.
"Wednesday night against the No. 1 player in the world is exciting," Murray said. "If you aren't getting motivated or pumped for those matches, then that's when there's a problem and its' time to maybe stop."
Murray fought off the 2011 title holder Djokovic in the finals of 2012 where Murray ended out on top in a nail-biting five set match. The last time they met in a Grand Slam tournament was at last year's Wimbledon Championships' finals where the Brit swept the Serb in three sets.
