The Illinois-based multinational company Motorola is slated to hold an event this May in New Delhi, wherein the company is expected to take the center stage in introducing their new flagship smartphone - Moto X 2016. Prior to Motorola's upcoming event, detailed information about Moto X 2016's specs, design and features has already been leaked.

Since Motorola's Moto X lineup has always been delivering smartphones with remarkable specs and features, its upcoming Moto X 2016 is said to be no different. The American multinational company already sent press invites to media outlets, and many suggests that this event will likely be the perfect venue for the company to introduce its new Motorola smartphone.

Meanwhile, although Motorola is mum about its upcoming flagship, prior the company's event on May 17, popular leakster Evan Blass already posted photos that hints what people may expect from Moto X 2016. However, Blass clarified that the images is for Moto G4 Plus, but it is also likely that the images is for the much anticipated Moto X 2016. Motorola has yet to confirm or deny if the images posted were for Moto X 2016.

Aside from the leaked images, a leaked benchmark results hinted that Moto X 2016 is already in production. Based on the leaked benchmark results, Moto X 2016 may be called Moto XT160, contrary to the initial rumors that it may be named Moto X Sheridan or Sheridan XT1560.

If the leaked benchmark results is to be believed, Moto X 2016 is expected to be equipped with Snapdragon 820 that runs on 1.59GHz, 4GB RAM and Android Marshmallow. The Motorola phone may also come with a 32GB or 64GB built-in storage, and may also release a higher-end variant.

Moreover, since Moto X 2016 may likely be released during the last quarter of the year, it is highly possible that it will directly sport an Android N operating system instead of Android Marshmallow.
