Janet Jackson is said to be expecting her first child with husband Wissam Al Mana.

The 49-year-old singer who will be turning 50 on May 16, recently cancelled her Unbreakable tour, by  because of the unexpected pregnancy. Although the pregnancy has not yet been confirmed by Jason, a source close to her says that she has passed her first trimester and is very excited about the baby.

On April 6th, the star posted a video on her official twitter account saying "We're in the second leg of our tour and there has been a sudden change. My husband and I are planning our family. I thought it was important to let you know this because I will be postponing the rest of the tour. I hope you can understand that it is very important that I do this now." she added "I have to rest up, doctor's orders. But I have not forgotten about you and I promise that I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can." 

The source also revealed that the couple had been working with a fertility specialist for the past couple of years. In the past fertility experts have explained that the chances of a woman getting pregnant past the age of 40 are slim to none because they are already either in the premenopausal stage or their egg count is no longer good enough because a majority of their eggs will be chromosomally abnormal. 

This is not the first time the 'Rhythm Nation' singer has postponed a tour. On Christmas Eve, she announced that she was postponing the North American tour, saying that she needed an urgent operation which then sparked rumours that she had cancer. 

Janet secretly married retail tycoon Al Mana in 2012 but did not confirm their marriage until late 2013.
