An Australian dad was charged of sexually abusing his twin daughters from a Thai surrogate mother, Nine Network Television reported.

In 2013, the New South Wales state court charged the man, whose identity could not be disclosed due to legal reasons, with indecent conduct towards his children while both were only 4 years old.

According to court papers, the man is now in his 50's. He was also charged with possession of pornography videos of minors, which were found when authorities raided his home.

The man is currently free on bail, but is scheduled to go on trial on December.

Despite incriminating pieces of evidence, the man insists that he is innocent.

The twins that the Australian man fathered around seven years ago were born to Siriwan Nitichad, a 23-year-old Thai surrogate mother.

Nitchad, who is also known as Aon, lives about 250 miles north of Bangkok.

Reports said that Aon agreed to be the surrogate mother to an Australian couple who encountered difficulties in conceiving a child.

In an interview, Aon told ABC that the man was in his 40's and the wife was older.

The wife begged Aon to carry their child  because "her husband wanted to have a baby so much", according to ABC.

After several meetings, Aon agreed to be be the couple's surrogate mother, using the Australian man's sperm and her own egg.

The Thai reportedly received about $5,000 in compensation.

Aon told reporters that the twins were already about four months old when she gave them to the couple and she had a hard time giving them up.

"I wanted them to stay with me," Aon told ABC.

In a statement released by the court, it indicated that the man lost his job. The couple eventually decided to separate.

The twins are now being taken care of by the man's ex-wife.
