Taiwanese actress Michelle Chen is now making a name for herself in Hollywood with the positive reviews she's been receiving for her role in the romantic thriller Pali Road, a Chinese-American production.

The film is directed by Jonathan Lim. Michelle plays the role of Lily, a budding doctor who survives a car accident only to discover that she's living a totally different life. Co-starring Michelle is Twilight star Jackson Rathbone and Korean American actor Sung Kang.

The movie was shot in Hawaii and premiered at the Hawaiian International Film Festival. It received a nomination for Best Feature Film at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival. Michelle bagged the Best Actress trophy while Sung Kang was honored with the "International Star Award."  

PaliRoad is still showing in cinemas in the United States.

Pali Road holds "many firsts" in Michelle's career as an actress. This is her first English-language film, her first movie with a Hollywood crew, and her first thriller movie. She is elated to have received positive critiques from movie experts. His intimate scenes with Jackson Rathbone were also a first in her career.

Chen rose to fame for her debut performance in Hear Me, Michelle. However, it was the 2011 film You Are the Apple of My Eye, which broke box office records in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore, that solidified her image as a box-office star. Her performance in the film also got her a Best Actress nomination at the 46th Golden Horse Film Festival and Awards.
