NBA Western Conference Semifinals: Golden State Warriors Versus Portland Trail Blazers Game 4 Preview

The Golden State Warriors will look to rebound in Game Four at the Moda Center on Monday night following their 120-108 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.

The defending NBA champions failed to capture their third win of the series and hold a commanding three-to-none lead over the host team in their last outing. The Warriors still lead by a game 2-1, but the surging Trail Blazers are up to make the series knotted to a two-all deadlock before it heads back to the Bay Area for Game Five of their best-of-seven series.

The Golden State team have not lost two successive games since the 2015 NBA Finals. For that trend to keep alive, the team that won 73 victories in the regular season will have to contain the Blazers and win Game Four without Stephen Curry, who is still considered questionable to play.

The league's ruling Most Valuable Player has missed six of the Warriors' eight games in the playoffs, including the last four matches after enduring a sprained right knee in Game Four of the team's first-round series with Houston.

In the third game of the series, the Warriors' point's production was mostly limited to Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. In their Game Three loss, aside from the two, only Leandro Barbosa managed to finish with double figures.

"We don't have the luxury of staying with a set rotation," Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said. "We have to read what's going on and play different people based on what we see and what we need, but that's all right. We've got a lot of players who can play and they've been ready to perform all year."

This season, Portland have won just two of their seven encounters with the Warriors - including this series.  Damian Lillard, who scored a total of 95 points in the last three contests, is expected to lead the Blazers as they attempt to claim their second victory of the series.
