In the second half, Lithuanian Head Coach Jonas Kazlauskas surprised the crowd by taking out four of his starters and playing bench players.

Playing as if they had something to prove, the Lithuanian team scored 10 points in the first two minutes of the second half. By the end of the third quarter, the Australians were ahead by only a little, with the score at 55-52.

The fourth quarter saw a much more aggressive offense from Australia, and an even more stifling full court defensive pressure.

They were able to keep Lithuania at bay and eventually win, 82-75.

Joe Ingles lead the team with 18 points and four assists.

In other action, Mexico won its first game against Angola. Mexico had an easy time against Angola, holding Angola to only 20 points in the second half. Mexico won, 79-55.

Hector Hernandez had 24 points, while Gustavo Ayon had a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds.

On the other hand, Slovenia looked to have trouble against the winless Korea. Pundits and critics were expecting a steamrolling, but by the end of the first half, Korea was only trailing by one.

Afterwards, Goran Dragic took control of the game and engineered a 16 point lead. He had 22 points in the game.
