The dethroned 2014 Miss Asia Pacific World winner from Myanmar has issued an ultimatum against the beauty contest organizers on Tuesday.
According to David Kim, the director of media for the South Korea-based beauty pageant, May Myat Noe was stripped off her title due to her dishonesty and lack of appreciation for the efforts the organizers have exerted to boost her image. In addition, Kim stated that the Myanmar beauty queen ran off with the tiara, which was valued at $100,000.

In a press conference held on Tuesday at a restaurant in Yangon, Noe refuted the allegations. Despite her denials, however, the dethroned winner refuses to return the bejeweled crown. Noe declared that she will only give the tiara back to the organizers when they publicly apologize for branding her a liar and a thief. Moreover, Noe revealed that she has not committed any transgression that could be used as a ground to dethrone her.
In an earlier statement, Kim disclosed that Noe was given breast implants by the organizers of the pageant. He claimed that the surgery was provided free of charge and regarded as the organizers' way of pushing the beauty queen's career towards super-stardom. This contention, however, was adamantly denied by the Myanmar contestant. With respect to the allegation that she "stole" the crown by running away with it despite being dethroned, Noe clarified that she was already boarding a plane for Myanmar before discovering the pageant organizers' decision. Despite her misgivings regarding the decision, Noe said that she harbored no interest in keeping the crown. However, she insisted that only a "sorry" from the organizers would prompt her to give the tiara back.
"I'm not even proud of this crown," Noe said after putting the tiara on the table placed in front of her. She also told reporters that she is averse to receiving a beauty title from an organization with "such a bad reputation". Nonetheless, she remains firm on the condition she set. "But I won't give it back to the Koreans unless they apologise," she said. "Not just to me but my country for giving it a bad image," she declared.
