Taiwanese girl group S.H.E. member Selina Jen is going to host the 49^th Golden Bell Awards along with Taiwanese celebrity Sam Tseng.

After having recovered from the burn accident she had in 2010, matters seem to be going smoothly for Selina Jen. She has bravely faced the odds despite the tragedy almost four years ago and has just recently announced that she will be releasing a solo album and will also be having a solo concert in the future.

Now, it has already been announced that the 32-year old girl group member will be emceeing for the upcoming 49^th Golden Bell Awards which is considered a prestigious event in the showbiz industry in Taiwan. Selina Jen is said to be doing the honours with Sam Tseng who is an entertainer in Taiwan.

Based on media reports, Selina Jen has been surprised when she first heard that she was appointed as the emcee for said awards event, saying that it felt surreal and she felt as if she was dreaming. The singer has also expressed that she was looking forward to collaborating with her co-host for the event.

The two artists have already worked together on a previous project, particularly that of the Taiwanese variety TV program 'Super Citizen'. Selina Jen and Sam Tseng were praised for their chemistry on the set of said production.

The Golden Bell Awards is widely considered as the equivalent of the Emmys in Taiwan. The awards for the broadcast category will be held on October 18 while the television category awards will be held a week later on October 25. Selina Jen and Sam Tseng will be hosting the second show.

On the other hand, all the nominations for the 49^th Golden Bell Awards will be announced this coming September 18.  The airing of the awards event will be produced by China Television and will take place at the Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall in Taipei.
