Making headlines as of late for having been involved in a drug bust with his good friend Jaycee Chan, speculations rose that Taiwanese actor Kai Ko would possibly enlist in the army shortly in order to be out of the constant scrutiny of the public.
According to his manager Angie Chai, it was highly possible for Kai Ko to have to enlist in the army or continue his university studies in order for him to be out of the limelight for a while.

The latest reports regarding the issue says that Kai Ko has been summoned and has come forward for a mandatory hair and urine sample in order for authorities to confirm whether or not he has a history of drug abuse. The test is also to prove whether or not the young actor has used other drugs other than marijuana.
According to media reports, the 23-year old actor has admitted that he has tried using marijuana two years ago and has smoked weed for at least eight occasions following the first time. All the times he had used the drug was said to have been at Jaycee Chan's home.
The Criminal Investigation Department of the Taipei City Police Department will be releasing the results of Kai Ko's drug test after a week subsequent to the submission of the hair and urine samples.
Additionally, if it is proven that he has only used marijuana, Kai Ko will only be sanctioned to attend psychological and drug-abuse treatment programs other than bearing the consequences of his actions in the past. However, if it is proven that he has used other kinds of drugs, the actor faces a possible three-year imprisonment and a two-month stint at a rehab center on top of it.
It has still not yet been confirmed whether the China media industry is going to ban the actor for two years, but 'Tiny Times 4' is confirmed to be hitting theatres just as scheduled.
