There is no confirmation yet whether the anticipated Apple Watch 2 is going to be out this year, but recent reports indicates that the updated version of Apple's smartwatch might be released in September 2016. It was also rumored that the second smartwatch of Apple will feature cellular network connectivity without the use of an iPhone.

According to Techradar, the much awaited Apple Watch 2 may have its own cellular network connectivity, which enables its users to send and receive messages directly on the smartwatch, discarding its dependence on an iPhone. With that said, rumors are also pointing to details that the new smartwatch of Apple will have its own data plan for it to be used as a communication device.

The same publication did also note that the Apple Watch 2 may have a tether-less Wi-Fi, and can be able to send emails.  It is also said that the second generation can do a Face Time video call as it will come with a camera.

Aside from the rumored innovation of Apple with their second smartwatch, it was also reported by Times that the giant tech company hired seven full-time nurses in order to assist on the health and fitness functionality of the Apple Watch 2.

The same publication also claims that Apple has already been testing its employees in relation to the health and fitness capabilities of the device. Apple is said to be doing the whole testing inside their sports and health laboratory - testing the prototypes 12 hours a day on a six day a week routine.

It was also revealed that the laboratory has chambers for the stimulation of a variety of temperatures and weather conditions. This is said to provide enough information on whether the prototype can handle extreme temperature and weather conditions.

Meanwhile, although Apple has not confirmed it yet, speculations are pointing out to a September release date for the Apple Watch 2, along with the company's latest smartphone flagship, the iPhone 7.  Perhaps, fans should just wait for Apple to officially release a statement regarding the unveiling of its second smartwatch.
