The Flower of Shanghai is coming off a 0-0 draw with lowly club Liaoning Whowin FC at the Shenyang Olympic Sports Center Stadium last Saturday, as per Soccerway.

The draw was the second straight winless game of Shanghai after earning their second win of the season against newly-promoted side Hebei China Fortune in round 6.

It has been a mercurial season so far for new manager Gregorio Manzano and his boys as the team tries to do better than their sixth place finish last season.

Meanwhile, Guangzhou R&F blanked struggling team Chongqing Lifan FC, 2-0, at their home field of Yuexiushan Stadium also last Saturday, as reported by Xinhuanet.

Midfielder Tang Miao and striker Xiao Zhi scored the goals for Guangzhou at the 39th and 54th minutes to pull off the clean sheet performance.

With the win, the Blue Lions snapped Chongqing's run of five straight drawn matches while also extending their own winning streak to two games. They are now one point and one spot ahead of Shenhua in the overall standings at the seventh spot.

The momentum is now on the side of Guangzhou and because of Shanghai Shenhua's current struggles Dragan Stojković's team is favored to win this matchup.

The predicted result is a tough 2-1 victory for Guangzhou R&F.
