Hong Kong actress Myolie Wu is speculated to be leaving her managing network TVB.
According to media reports, Myolie Wu has her eyes set on making a name for herself in the Chinese market after her contract with Television Broadcast Limited or TVB expires in seven months.
Sources say TVB has been loosening its hold on its artists since big stars such as Raymond Lam and Shirley Yeung left the company to search for better career opportunities in other countries.

Additional reports say Myolie Wu, who has done around seven dramas in mainland China, was paid around RMB$150,000, which is approximately US$30,000 for every episode she appeared in. If true, it is a far cry from the pay she gets under TVB, which amounts to HK$20,000.
Additionally, it is said that setting a career in China is far better because of the regular working times, besides giving actors and actress more opportunities to rest.
Fueling the rumors that the 34-year old actress is leaving TVB is that she was allegedly mingling a lot with mainland China producers. Myolie Wu was also said to have asked for the opinion of her Chinese friends if she should develop her career further in China.
Media reports also said Myolie Wu is being backed by her supporters on the opinion that she should go and develop a career in China. They were said to have encouraged the actress on her plan as it was of a bigger advantage to her. Meanwhile, entertainment companies in Beijing were said to have offered Myolie Wu a place in their industry.
However, Myolie Wu is said to still be weighing her options regarding the matter. When asked about it, she stated that TVB and other companies in China have been in contact with her, but she hasn't decided yet.
