Dunkin' Donuts customers showed a lot of enthusiasm and support for the restaurant when it opened its Los Angeles store early Thursday.

The first 100 customers were given freebies, including tote bags with products and memorabilia.

Johnny Hoops, the man who was first in line when the store opened, shared a picture of himself holding his iced coffee on his Instagram and Twitter.

Hoops, a Burbank actor, said he camped out for more than 30 hours, and for being the store's first customer, he was awarded with one year free coffee.

Several crew members of the TNT series "Rizzoli and Isles" also shared the news on Twitter after the company sent them six dozen donuts.

The show's executive producer, Jan Nash, hinted that Outback Steakhouse, should follow in Dunkin' Donuts promotional strategy.

"@Outback No rules. Just right. How about you send us six dozen steaks. @DunkinDonuts sent us donuts. #RizzoliandIsles," Nash posted on his twitter account.

Reports said that the line in the store went on till 9 p.m. on Tuesday. Residents near the store have been calling the Santa Monica Police Department complaining about the traffic caused by the customers. Police officer M. Ortiz said people were calling in about customers blocking the driveway and going through apartments to get to the store.

The Santa Monica store is not the first Dunkin' Donuts store in California.

The store recently opened its branch in Modesto and plans on opening 1,000 more branches in the state.

In a report by the Los Angeles Times, it said the company used to have about a dozen stores in California, but were closed in the 90's.
