Capital city squad Beijing Guoan FC (2-3-3, 9 points) is finally building a consistent rhythm in the 2016 Chinese Super League season with their first home win in the last round. They face Hebei China Fortune FC (4-2-2, 14 points) at the Workers' Stadium on Wednesday, May 18 to finish their re-scheduled fixture.

The two teams are supposed to clash with one another on March 11 for their first meeting of the season but their match was re-scheduled to a later date for undisclosed reasons.

Beijing trounced contending team Shanghai SIPG FC, 2-1, also at their home field of Workers' Stadium last Saturday to claim their second win of this term, Cri English reported.

Brazilian defensive midfielder Ralf netted the opening goal of the contest at the 24th minute before Shanghai's Ivorian import Jean Evrard Kouassi leveled the count at the 31st off a brilliant cross by Argentine teammate Dario Conca.

The Imperial Guards were not to be denied, though, as they scored the winner at the 50th courtesy of a goal from winger Zhang Xizhe from an assist by local striker Yu Dabao.

The win snapped the three-game winless skid of head coach Alberto Zaccheroni's boys as they look forward to their first winning run of the current term.

Meanwhile, newly-promoted side Hebei China Fortune fell to defending champions and league leaders Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao FC, 2-0, at the Tianhe Stadium also last Saturday, via Soccerway.

Midfielder Yu Hanchao and forward Alan Carvalho scored the two goals for the hosts to hand the Samba Kings only their second loss of the season.

Manager Li Tie is expected to make full use of his international trio of Ezequiel Lavezzi, Gervinho, and Gaël Kakuta once again in this matchup.

The predicted result is a 1-0 win for Beijing Guoan.
