Xiaomi Sells 600,000 Units of Redmi Note 3 Smartphone in India

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has announced that it has sold more than 600,000 units of its Redmi Note 3 smartphone in India. The number of sold out units is the "biggest record yet" in the country, according to Hugo Barra, Xiaomi's global vice president.
Barra made this revelation on his official Facebook account. Xiaomi has been able to sell this much units of the Redmi Note 3 smartphone in just two months in India.

The smartphone was launched in India in March this year. The highlight feature of the smartphone is its all-metallic body structure and a fingerprint scanner at the back. What makes this device unique is that users can store up to five fingerprint profiles on the device. In addition, users who purchase the phone will receive a two-month free subscription to Hungama.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 smartphone is available via Mi.com, Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, and other websites.
The Redmi Note 3 smartphone features a 5.5-inch full HD 1080 x 1920 pixels IPS display screen and offers impressive 178-degree viewing angle. The device is powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 650 processor (four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.4GHz and two Cortex-A72 cores clocked at 1.8GHz).
The device is available in India with two memory and storage versions - one including 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage, and the other is 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage. The Redmi Note 3 2GB model is priced at Rs. 9,999 (USD $149.52), while the 3GB variant is priced at Rs. 11,999 (USD $179.42).
The device runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) operating system out of the box along with the company's MIUI 7 user interface on top. Other features the device has offers include dual 4G SIM cards (Micro + Nano).
