The defending NBA champions Golden State Warriors are looking to bounce back and even their best-of-seven Western Conference Finals series to one game apiece after suffering their first home court loss in the playoffs this season against the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game One on Monday.

The Warriors had a superior home game record of 39-2 in the regular season, having lost only to Boston Celtics and Minnesota Timberwolves in April. In the postseason, the Golden State cruised into the conference finals without losing at the Oracle Arena. However, the Thunder, who had a record of 23-18 on road games, broke that trend and handed the Warriors their first home postseason defeat with a 108-102 victory in the series opener.
Although the top-seeded Golden State are down by a game, the Warriors have not lost two-straight games in their record 73-win season. The Oakland, California-based club will have to take Game Two and avoid going to Oklahoma City winless, as the series will be shifting over to the Chesapeake Energy Arena for the Games Three and Four.
"That doesn't matter at this point," Warriors' starting forward Draymond Green, who finished Game One with 23 points, said. "Obviously, it helps just knowing what to do to not lose back-to-back games, but it's the playoffs. It's the conference finals."
Oklahoma City have been victorious in their last three consecutive road playoff games. The Thunder franchise has not won four straight games on the road in the playoffs since the 1995-96 Seattle SuperSonics did it en route to the NBA Finals. Another win on Wednesday night would mean a new franchise record and a commanding 2-0 series lead.
"We got a W the first Game 1, but there is a lot of basketball to be played, so we can't be too excited," Kevin Durant said. "It was a good win for us, but we're not going to be jumping up and down, chest-bumping on the court. We've got a lot more basketball to play."
