The MOTA Smart Ring, which is set to be revealed in the Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin electronics show held through Sept. 5 to Sept. 10 in Germany, lets the user receive notifications through Bluetooth with an iOS or Android smart device that display incoming calls, text messages, email and calendar events right on the owner's finger.

The updates could conveyed to the wearer in the form of tactile, text and audio alerts, with visual information illustrated on the smart ring's built-in display and could be drawn from applications such as Twitter and Facebook. The customization options lets the wearer have complete jurisdiction over which kinds of notifications are shown, and even has the capability to generate a white list for important contacts that the user is on the lookout for via a VIP feature. The MOTA Smart Ring comes in bong pearl white and midnight black and is able to take splashes of liquids due to its water resistance.
There are already a number of wearable smart rings currently under development, such as the gold-plated Ringly and the Smarty Ring, and like its competitors, the MOTA Smart Ring has yet to be priced and released.
The smart ring isn't the only wearable smart device that MOTA has offered as it released a smart watch earlier in the year. The MOTA SmartWatch G2 Lite, like its smaller predecessor, is capable of pairing to iOS and Anroid devices via Bluetooth, is able to vibrate when a call is incoming and displays information on its screen. Unlike the MOTA Smart Ring, however, the smart watch has integrated premium speakers and a microphone, making it capable of receiving calls.
It even has voice recognition features that activate Google Now or Siri, letting the wearer control the device effortlessly. The smart watch has a standby time of 72 hours, but is only capable of three when used for calls, and fully charged after two hours connected to an outlet.
