Video game publisher Activision Blizzard Inc. released the seventh installment in the 'Call of Duty' franchise at midnight.
"Call of Duty: Black Ops" is now included in the fast growing list of Xbox One backwards compatible games.
The highly-popular first person shooter game first appeared on the Xbox One dashboard last Wednesday and can now be accessed if gamers have already purchased the game digitally, or have the original Xbox 360 disk, Express UK reported.

"ICYMI (not likely): Call of Duty: Black Ops is available on Xbox One Backward Compatibility," said Xbox's Larry Hryb, as he confirmed the news on social media.
"Call of Duty: Black Ops" has so far been among the most highly-requested Xbox One backwards compatible games to be rolled out by Microsoft.
It can be recalled that the release of the Xbox 360 classic was announced last year for the backwards compatibility library, and was part of a short list of games that were confirmed for the Xbox One feature.
The game in fact garnered 110,000 votes via Microsoft's Xbox Fan Feedback page, with only four other games having higher counts.
However, Microsoft has given no guarantee that other requested Xbox One backwards compatible games will make the list anytime soon.
The announcement of "Call of Duty: Black Ops," release has created a ripple effect, resulting in a minor sales boom for original Xbox 360 copies.
According to eBay, after the announcement of the game's release via Xbox One's backwards compatibility feature, there was an increase in the physical copies sold by the online retail company.
Even the price of the game has risen as well, as it now sells for around $13.
Other Xbox One backwards compatible games that are scheduled for release include "Skate 3," "Bioshock," "Bioshock 2" and "Bioshock Infinite."
