Angelo Bertolotti, the father of the late actress Brittany Murphy, slammed the American TV network Lifetime for various reasons regarding the biopic the channel has produced for the actress.

'The Brittany Murphy Story' is yet to air, however, after the release of the teasers for the upcoming biopic which was intended to be a tribute to the late actress, her father, Angelo Bertolotti, expressed his disapproval to it, openly criticizing Lifetime for it.

On a tweet he has posted, he said, "#brittanymurphy would have been MORTIFIED if she knew what a mockery they made of her life and her gorgeous looks and talent. #Unauthorized"

Angelo Bertolotti stated that he was disgusted and mad by how the Brittany Murphy biopic turned out to be. Another thing was that, according to media reports, the biopic was unauthorized.

He called 'The Brittany Murphy Story' production 'trashy' and accused the TV channel's bosses of defiling the memory of his daughter.

He angrily expressed that he was stunned at how the production dubbed the biopic as a 'true story' when they did not even conduct any kind of research or consulted any of the late actress' family members.

"The Brittany Murphy Story is an affront to everything my daughter was in real life," says Angelo Bertolotti. He dubbed the production hideous and inaccurate.

He has also stated that he was embarrassed watching the biopic for his daughter.

Additionally, he complained of the fact that they cast Amanda Fuller to portray Brittany Murphy when the actress didn't even look anything close to his daughter. Bertolotti said that the casting of the actress was appalling and also criticized the dialogue.

Furthermore, the father of the late actress claimed that there were inaccuracies, saying that the production was suggesting that he has been absent from the actress' life when he had been supporting his daughter and wife for always.
