The Chinese national women's basketball squad cruised to an impressive 9-0 record in the team's preparation for Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQT) with a 75-50 win over Montenegro in 2016 Four-Nation Women's Basketball Tournament on Saturday.
According to Xinhua, the Asian giant dominated almost the entire match, fueled by four players' double-digit points. Sun Mengran scored with a team-high 14 points while veteran center Chen Nan finishes with 13 for the Chinese team.

"We played with good energy today, better than yesterday. We had some nice plays," said Australian Thomas Maher, the head coach of China. "We started the second quarter trying to destroy them, while making many turnovers that hurt us," the 64-year-old coach added.
The hosts started the game by dominating the paint, their two starting post players Sun Mengran and Chen Nan, combined for the team's first 12 points. China continued to carry out the tactics of attacking from the shaded area after bench players went on, and built a 20-10 lead for the first quarter.
Both of the teams had an awful time shooting in the second quarter, but Montenegro was just able to produce four points compared to the 10 points the Chinese team made with Sun Mengxin connecting a 3-pointer to beat the halftime buzzer. China controlled the boards in the first two quarters and capped the first half with a 16-point advantage 30-14.
In the third period, China pounded Montenegro with a 29-13 run stretching the team's lead to a comfortable 32-point lead entering the final quarter of the game. Montenegro's Kristina Rakovic poured in a game-high 15 points for the FIBA world No. 34 team.
"We are a young team. Our players showed their aggresiveness in this match. We did well in defense, while underperforming on the offensive end," the Montenegro's head coach Momir Milatovic said of his team.
China is currently ranked eighth in the FIBA world rankings. The team will be heading to France in early June for their OQT's final phase of preparation.
