The all-white quadcopter drone has a revolving camera attached to a gimbal. The camera can twist and rotate, making it possible to shoot at almost any angle. The large camera is mounted on a pivot and it looks like it is able to capture video from 360 degrees. There are hints of orange seen on the top of the blades, bringing in the color of the Mi brand.

Xiaomi drone to capture 4K video as well as 2K and 1080p. Users will be able to control it through a dedicated smartphone app or even a Mi Band wearable. The camera could come with image stabilization for better images.

“Google VP Clay Bavor too announced at‪#‎io16‬ that Xiaomi is one of Google’s first Android partners to make Daydream-ready devices. Daydream is Google’s platform for high-performance mobile VR built on top of Android N. Are you ready for the era of VR?” a statement posted on Xiaomi’s forum.

The drone will likely go up against the likes of what DJI has to offer, with an estimated retail price of $600.

Chinese drone manufacturers have flooded the drone market with cheap drones. The top selling drone on Amazon right now is the SYMA X5C Explorers that costs $43.50. Xiaomi has focused on releasing polished products at a very aggressive price.
