Golden State Warriors starting forward Draymond Green has been slapped with a hefty fine of $25,000 by the NBA on Monday for kicking Oklahoma City big man Steven Adams in the groin in their Western Conference Finals Game Three. Luckily, Green escaped suspension.
The NBA moved up the foul to a flagrant 2, which would have triggered an automatic ejection had the game officials given that ruling when it happened. That moved the Michigan State product closer to an automatic suspension for accumulation of flagrant foul points.

Green will still be playing in Game Four on Tuesday at Oklahoma City. The Golden State are currently trailing in the series 2-1.
Green was whistled for a flagrant 1 foul with 5:57 minutes left in the second period after he was fouled by Adams and kicked the New Zealander's groin. The Thunder believes that it was deliberate, but Green and Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said they presumed the flagrant would be repealed by the NBA.
The league's Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Kiki VanDeWeghe noted that the committee has released their conclusions and the necessary actions to be implemented regarding the case.
"After a thorough investigation that included review of all available video angles and interviews with the players involved and the officials working the game, we have determined that Green's foul was unnecessary and excessive and warranted the upgrade and fine," VanDeWeghe said in a statement. "During a game, players - at times - flail their legs in an attempt to draw a foul, but Green's actions in this case warranted an additional penalty."
Green, who was part of the NBA All-Defensive Team in 2015, presently has three flagrant foul points during the postseason. Another offense will result in an automatic one-game suspension.
