Tumblr fan favorite Tom Hiddleston is reportedly in talks with 007 producers about becoming the next James Bond actor. Hiddleston, who starred as Loki in "Thor," has openly admitted that he has wanted the role for some time now.

A source close to Tom Hiddleston revealed to Birth.Movies.Death (BMD) that discussions to take on the role of James Bond are underway. In October, Hiddleston openly admitted that he would love to be in the next "James Bond." He pointed out that just being in the movie is enough even if he does not take the lead role.

However, last week, Hiddleston said that he has not been approached, asked or invited by any of the producers of 007 for talks.

Daniel Craig Not Reprising Role

After four successful "James Bond" movies, Daniel Craig has reportedly turned down offers for two more movies. Telegraph UK reported that Craig has turned down a huge deal for more 007 films. Craig reportedly informed the executives at MGM after "Spectre" that he is done.

More so, director Sam Mendes confirmed that he would not be in charge of the next "James Bond" movie. The director said it was time for somebody else to do a great job. Although he revealed that he loved the incredible adventure of filming "James Bond," he admitted that he is ready to take on new projects.

Likewise, Craig revealed this week that he has signed up for Steven Soderbergh's new film, "Logan Lucky," which follows the story of two brothers who planned a crime during a Nascar race.

Aside from Hiddleston, Aidan Turner, Idris Elba, Damian Lewis and Jamie Bell are rumored to be possible candidates for the next "James Bond" movie.
